Printing food labeling nutrient content claims

note

Access to this screen is only available if you have purchased the Food Labeling option.

Nutrient Content Claims (NCCs) are pre-loaded government-regulated definitions that describe the level or range of a nutrient in a food, such as low fat, sugar free, or excellent source of dietary fiber.

NCCs are calculated based on the nutrient values for the labeled food. Before calculating NCCs, select a food type that best describes your food. These food type selections are found in the list:

  • Individual food
  • Raw, single meat, poultry, seafood, or game meat
  • Cooked meat, poultry, seafood,or game meat product
  • Main dish product
  • Meal product
note

Only nutrients selected from the Nutrients screen are verified for an NCC*.* It is possible for multiple content claims to appear on a food label.

To print the Nutrient Content Claims from a Food Label, follow these steps:

  1. After opening or adding a food label, select the Nutrients tab and click . The Nutrient Content Claims dialog box appears.
  2. Select a category from the list. The Nutrient content claims change to match the category.
  3. Click to print the Nutrient Content Claims.
  4. Click to close the dialog box.
