How much does the online Food Labeling subscription cost?

The online Food Labeling module is a subscription priced per month, per user, with a lower monthly rate if you pay yearly. All regions are included in the price. See the main pricing page for details.

Current rates, in US dollars per month: $36 monthly billing, $299 yearly billing ($25/month if billed annually). The price includes all these regions:

  • USA English
  • USA English and Spanish
  • Canada (English and French)

Every online plan includes nutrition labels, recipes, multiple label designs, regional languages, a large food database, nutrient claims, and label export.

How much does the desktop software cost?

The desktop modules are an annual purchase, not a subscription. Prices are listed on the Diet Analysis pricing page, the Menu Creation pricing page, and together on the main pricing page.

How do I sign up for the online version?

How do I purchase the desktop software?

How do I add more time to my online account or buy another plan?

Log in to your account at https://app.nutritionistpro.com, select the profile image in the top right, and then select Manage Accounts.

Can I cancel my online subscription?

Yes, and it is easy to do yourself. Log in at https://app.nutritionistpro.com, go to Manage Accounts by clicking your name in the top right corner, and select Subscriptions. There is a Cancel button there.

Is the online subscription a one-time payment or a recurring payment?

The online subscription plans are recurring. You are billed on the cycle you choose, so a 12-month plan is charged every 12 months. The desktop modules, Diet Analysis and Menu Creation, are an annual purchase instead.

Can we add multiple Nutritionist Pro users?

Yes. Any Nutritionist Pro application can be purchased for multiple users. Add the quantity you need before you finalize your cart in the product catalog, and the additional users are added to your account.

Do you offer student pricing?

Yes. Axxya Systems offers discounts for students. See the student page, or contact the team and they will help you. There are also options for colleges and universities.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?

How do I activate my desktop Nutritionist Pro account?

There are a few options for activating your account. Axxya Systems can email you an invoice. Contact the team and they will be happy to help you activate your account.

How do I renew my desktop software and pay my invoice?

Renewals and invoices are handled through the Manage Accounts and support center page, where you can pay invoices and access your W-9. If you need an invoice sent to you, contact the team.

What payment methods do you accept and how is payment processed?

Payments are processed by BlueSnap, a global payment processor that is PCI Level I compliant. Purchases are made through the product catalog. If you need to be invoiced instead, contact the team.

What demo and trial options do you offer?

The Nutritionist Pro online application lets you:

What is the difference between Nutritionist Pro online and Nutritionist Pro desktop?

Nutritionist Pro online is a cloud subscription that runs in a web browser, is billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly, and covers food labeling and recipe work for the USA, Canada, the UK and EU, and China and Hong Kong. Nutritionist Pro desktop is installed software, purchased once, and is where the Diet Analysis and Menu Creation modules live, including client and patient management. Is Nutritionist Pro compliant with accessibility regulations?

Yes. Features have been added specifically to make Nutritionist Pro accessible and compliant with government requirements. This includes WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Accessible Canada Act, and provincial and state frameworks such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). What type of safety measures do you take to protect data?

Axxya Systems gives the highest priority to safeguarding your data. The application servers follow PCI Level I compliance standards, and BlueSnap, a PCI Level I compliant global payment processor, handles payments. The privacy policy and the terms of use are on the website.

Does Nutritionist Pro use AI, and is my data used to train AI models?

Nutritionist Pro online includes an AI recipe import feature, currently in beta, that turns pasted recipe text or an uploaded recipe file into a recipe in the application. Text you paste into the AI recipe import is not used to train AI models. Nutritionist Pro also offers a read-only MCP server so AI assistants can read your own data. See the AI questions below.

What is the Nutritionist Pro MCP server?

The Nutritionist Pro MCP server, currently in beta, lets AI applications and coding agents read your Nutritionist Pro data through the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, an assistant such as Claude can answer questions about your foods, recipes, labels, and nutrients using your own account data, with no copying and pasting. The server is read-only by design: it can search and look up data, but it cannot create, edit, or delete foods, recipes, or labels, and it cannot change account settings. What is the difference between the Menu Creation and Diet Analysis modules?

Both modules can analyze recipes and foods, create and build menus, and set nutrient goals to compare against menus or recipes. The main difference is that Diet Analysis also lets you manage clients and patients. Menu Creation details and Diet Analysis details are on the website. Both are $599 for a single computer and $885 for a server setup.

Does Nutritionist Pro work on macOS?

Axxya Systems offers online and desktop options for some modules. The online application runs in a web browser on macOS with no install. For desktop installations on macOS, additional steps are needed. Contact the support team for the details.

I bought a new computer. Can I install Nutritionist Pro on it?

How do I download the latest version of Nutritionist Pro?

The latest version is sent to the primary contact listed on each account. If you would like the primary contact changed, contact the team and they can make that change.

Nutrition facts food labels

Does the government allow Nutritionist Pro to be used for label and recipe creation?

Yes. Nutritionist Pro creates labels for the USA, Canada, the UK and EU, and China and Hong Kong. For these labels, the government allows the food and food service industry to use an ingredient database and software such as Nutritionist Pro to calculate recipe data and food labels.

What is the difference between laboratory analysis and database analysis?

Nutritionist Pro uses a large custom database for nutrient analysis. Laboratory analysis and database analysis handle nutrient analysis differently, and the government agencies do not require one over the other.

I am not sure how to start. I need food labels fast.

Make sure you know the yield of your recipe and your portion amount, and have your ingredients written out with weights or common household portions. Then start a free trial, build the recipe, and generate the label. The online application also has an AI recipe import feature that can create the recipe from pasted recipe text or an uploaded file. I am looking for the new FDA USA labels. Do you offer those?

Nutritionist Pro supports multiple nutrition facts panel formats, including vertical, aggregate, dual column, and horizontal designs, in the languages for each region. Labels can be downloaded as PNG, JPG, PDF, or SVG.

How big is your food database?

The Axxya Systems nutrition team is constantly updating and adding to the database, which holds hundreds of thousands of foods and ingredients. You can also create your own custom ingredients with your own nutrient values.
