Customizing foods

Customize a Axxya Systems food by modifying and renaming an existing food to add to the knowledge base.

To customize a Axxya Systems food, complete the following steps:

1. Click on the navigation bar.
2. Click on the navigation bar.
3. Open a food.
4. Modify the information in the following tabs as appropriate:
   • General
   • Nutrients
   • Exchanges
   • Pyramid Categories
   • My Pyramid Categories
5. Select File/Save As from the menu bar to save the customized food.
   • The new customized food is added to the knowledge base for use in the Foods, Recipe Books, Food Labels, Menu Templates editors, and Diets and Menus in the Clients or Client Groups editors.

If you rename a food and copy it to or from a recipe, the copied food name reverts to the original food name as defined in the database.
