Opening foods

To open a common food, a custom food, or a recipe complete the following steps:

1. Click on the navigation bar.
2. Click on the navigation bar.
3. Click and use the Open Food dialog box to search for an existing food.
4. When the search is complete, the screen contains the following information:
   • The name of the selected food appears in the Name field.
   • The General tab contains information about the selected food or recipe.
   • The Nutrients tab contains information about the nutrient analysis of the selected food or recipe.
   • The Exchanges tab contains the appropriate exchange categories for the selected food or recipe.
   • The Pyramid Categories tab contains the appropriate pyramid categories for the selected food or recipe.
   • The My Pyramid Categories tab contains the appropriate My Pyramid categories for the selected food or recipe.
