Defining menus for client groups

A menu is a listing of meals or foods to be served. Menus are used for planning what clients will eat. Use the Menus tab to create menus for client groups.

To create a new menu, either by typing values in the screen or using a template, after opening or adding a client group, complete the following steps:

  1. Click to access Menu and Menu from Template options.
    • Select Menu and a New Menu file appears in the dialog box.
    • A New Menu allows you to create a menu for a client group.
    • Complete a New Menu.
    • Select View/Analysis from the Menus menu bar to view a detailed analysis of the menu.
    • Select View/Profiling from the menu bar to view information about all foods in a menu or diet. Sort the list as desired.
    • Select Menu from Template and the Select Menu from Template dialog box appears.
    • Using a template allows you to modify an existing template for a client group.
    • Complete a Menu from Template.
    • Select View/Analysis from the Menus menu bar to view a detailed analysis of the menu.
    • Select View/Profiling from the menu bar to view information about all foods in a menu or diet. Sort the list as desired.

After selecting New Menu or Menu from Template, right-click the mouse in the dialog box to access shortcut menus for each screen.

  1. Click . The New Menu Properties dialog box appears. Complete the Properties dialog box.
  2. Click to open the menu.

You can also double click or right-click on the New Menu file to open the dialog box.

  • Click to remove the menu from the window.
  1. Click and to rearrange the order of Menu and Menu from Template files appearing in the Menus window.
  2. Click to save the information in the Client Groups editor, including the groups' menus.
    • Select File/Save As to save the file under a new name.
  3. Click to access either the New Menu or Menu from Template screen.
    • Click to remove the selected menu or menu template.
