Importing and exporting menu templates

Menu templates can be moved in and out of Nutritionist Pro online in bulk from the Tools area. Use bulk import to load many templates from a spreadsheet at once, and bulk export to back up or reuse the templates you have created.

Import menu templates

1. Go to the Tools area and open Sheet Import.
2. Choose the Menu Template module and upload your file.
3. The Import Preview screen shows every template that will be created, including the menu template name, nutrient goal, category, calories, region, allergens, menu note, and the menu structure of days, meals, and foods with their serving amounts, units, and nutrient values.
4. Click Check for Errors to validate the file. Fix any reported problems in the source file and upload it again.
5. Click Import to create the templates, or Cancel to discard the upload.

Imported templates are added to My Data and can then be edited like any other template.

Export menu templates

1. Go to the Tools area and open Bulk Export.
2. Choose the Menu Template module.
3. Run the export to download your menu templates. See bulk export for the filters and nutrient selection.

The exported file uses the same layout as the import format, so an export from one account can be imported into another.
