Managing menu templates

The List of Menu Templates page is where you find and manage existing templates. Click Menu Templates in the sidebar, then click Edit Menu Template to open it.

Search for templates​

  • Use the Name/ID contains field to filter the list, then press Enter to search.
  • Use the Data Source option to switch between Axxya Systems, the built-in template library, and My Data, the templates you created.
Switch to My Data

The list opens on the Axxya Systems data source. Your own templates are under My Data, so switch the data source if the list looks empty.

The list shows each template's ID, name, data source, category, calories, creator, and create and update dates. Click a column heading to sort, and use the paginator to move through long lists.

Edit a template​

For templates under My Data, click the edit icon in the Actions column. The template opens in the menu template wizard, where you can change the details, rework the menu in the editor, and save.

View an Axxya Systems template​

Templates from the Axxya Systems library are read-only. Click the view icon to step through the template's details and menu tree without changing it. To customize a library template, duplicate it first; the copy is added to My Data, where you can edit it.

Duplicate a template​

Click the duplicate icon in the Actions column. A copy of the template is created with "duplicate1" appended to the name, and a confirmation message appears. Duplicating works for both your own templates and Axxya Systems templates.

Delete a template​

For templates under My Data, click the delete icon in the Actions column and confirm. Deleting a template does not affect clients that already received a copy of its menu, because applying a template to a client copies the menu into the client's record.
