Exercises

Exercises are the activities you record against a client, and each one carries a METs value that says how much energy it uses. Nutritionist Pro ships a list of exercises with standard METs values, and you can add your own for activities specific to your practice or programme.

Comes with the Diet analysis and Menu creation modules

Exercises is part of the Diet analysis module and the Menu creation module. It is not included with a Label module subscription on its own.

Find an exercise

  1. Click Tools in the sidebar, then open Add/Edit Exercises.
  2. Enter part of the name in Name Contains.

The list shows the exercise name, its METs value, its data source, who created it, and when it was created and last changed. Data Source tells you whether an exercise came with Nutritionist Pro or was added by your account. You can only edit and delete the ones your account added.

Add an exercise

  1. On the Exercises page, start a new exercise.
  2. Enter the Exercise Name. This field is required.
  3. Enter the METs Value, the metabolic equivalent for the activity. One MET is roughly the energy used sitting still, so an activity at 4 METs uses about four times that.
  4. Click Save, or Cancel to discard it.

Edit or delete an exercise

Use the actions on the exercise's row. Changing a METs value affects how energy expenditure is calculated the next time the exercise is used.
